Abstract

This article examines the psychological factors that contribute to effective management in general education schools, with particular attention to leadership style, interpersonal relationships within the teaching staff, and teachers’ professional motivation. School management is considered not merely as an administrative process but as a complex socio-psychological system based on trust, cooperation, effective communication, mutual respect, and shared professional goals. The study focuses on how different leadership approaches may influence the psychological climate of the teaching staff, professional activity, job satisfaction, and willingness to participate in organizational decision-making. Particular attention is given to intrinsic and extrinsic sources of teacher motivation, the development of professional commitment, and the perception of personal significance within the educational organization. The article also emphasizes the importance of a school leader’s communication competence, emotional stability, ability to provide constructive feedback, and capacity to manage interpersonal disagreements effectively. The theoretical analysis suggests that effective school management emerges through the interaction of leadership characteristics, the quality of collective relationships, and the level of teachers’ professional motivation. A psychologically supportive management environment can strengthen cooperation, encourage professional initiative, reduce interpersonal tension, and contribute to the sustainable development of the educational organization.
