Quality assurance in general secondary education must combine compliance with standards and continuous school improvement. This article compares the documented quality assurance arrangements in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. A qualitative comparative document analysis draws on national regulations, official communications, and international research. The analysis examines school self-evaluation, external assessment, monitoring, intermediary support, and follow-up. Uzbekistan formally links internal and external evaluation; Kazakhstan has revised the status of state attestation; and evidence from Kyrgyzstan highlights the gap between administrative oversight and practical support for teachers. The study proposes an integrated feedback-to-improvement approach. Its conclusions concern documented frameworks and available evidence, not proven causal effects on learning.
