Agata Kristining “O‘nta negr bolasi” romanida qo‘rquv faqat jinoyat va sir bilan emas, qahramonlar qamalib qolgan makon hamda tobora qisqarib borayotgan vaqt bilan yuzaga kelishi ushbu maqolada folklor xronotopining gotiklashuvi sifatida talqin etiladi. Romanda sanoq qo‘shig‘i voqealarni oldindan belgilab beruvchi folklor formulasi bo‘lib, orol, uni o‘ragan dengiz mazkur formula amalga oshiriladigan yopiq makonni hosil qiladi. Sanoq har bir o‘lim bilan kamayib borib, vaqt yakuniga yaqinlashadi, orol esa tirik qolganlar uchun yanada tor makondek sezila boradi. Asardagi xuddi shu folklor formulasi makon va vaqtning bir-birini to‘ldirishi maqolada qo‘rquv poetikasini shakllantiruvchi muhim badiiy tamoyil sifatida baholanadi.

В романе Агаты Кристи «Десять негритят» страх порождается не только преступлением и тайной, но и замкнутым пространством, в котором оказываются герои, а также неуклонно сокращающимся временем. В статье это явление интерпретируется как готизация фольклорного хронотопа. Считалка выступает своеобразной фольклорной формулой, заранее задающей последовательность событий, тогда как остров и окружающее его море образуют замкнутое пространство, в пределах которого эта формула реализуется. С каждой новой смертью отсчёт сокращается, время приближается к неизбежному финалу, а остров воспринимается оставшимися в живых героями как всё более тесное и опасное пространство. Взаимодействие фольклорной формулы, пространства и времени рассматривается как один из ключевых художественных принципов формирования поэтики страха в романе.

Abstract

In Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, fear is generated not only by crime and mystery but also by the enclosed space in which the characters find themselves and by the steadily diminishing time. The article interprets this phenomenon as the gothicization of the folklore chronotope. The counting rhyme functions as a distinctive folkloric formula that predetermines the sequence of events, while the island and the surrounding sea create an enclosed space within which this formula unfolds. With each new death, the countdown grows shorter, time moves closer to its inevitable end, and the island comes to feel increasingly confined and threatening to the survivors. The interaction between folkloric formula, space, and time is therefore regarded as one of the key artistic principles shaping the novel’s poetics of fear.
