Annotatsiya

Mazkur maqolada Edgar Allan Poning “Qora mushuk” (“The Black Cat”) hikoyasida qo‘rquv motivining mifopoetik talqini tahlil qilinadi. Asardagi qo‘rquv, dahshat, gunoh, aybdorlik, jazo va o‘lim motivlarining badiiy ifodasi qadimgi yunon mifologiyasi bilan bog‘liq holda o‘rganiladi. Xususan, qora mushuk - Pluto obrazining Hades, yerosti dunyosi va xtonik tasavvurlar bilan aloqadorligiga alohida e’tibor qaratiladi. Hikoyadagi qora rang, demonik kuch, ko‘rinmaslik, o‘lim va muqarrar jazo kabi mifologik unsurlarning qahramon ruhiy holati hamda qo‘rquv motivini shakllantirishdagi badiiy funksiyasi yoritiladi.

Abstract

This article examines the mythopoetic interpretation of the motif of fear in Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “The Black Cat”. The artistic representation of fear, horror, sin, guilt, punishment, and death is explored in relation to ancient Greek mythology. Particular attention is paid to the image of the black cat, Pluto, and its associations with Hades, the Underworld, and chthonic beliefs. The study considers the artistic functions of such mythological elements as the color black, daemonic forces, invisibility, death, and inevitable punishment in shaping the protagonist’s psychological state and the motif of fear.
